For over 25 years, we have made grants to thousands of nonprofit organizations around the world. In this work, we’ve been guided by openness to the excellent ideas of people close to the issues, by collaboration with partners we respect immensely, and by a desire to create transformative change whose benefits multiply and are shared widely across society. Our mission is broad by design, encompassing grants to nonprofit organizations across its four program areas of Arts and Culture, Education, Health and Sports, and Social Welfare.

Over the past quarter-century, SNF has formed thousands of partnerships with nonprofits around the world, seeking to help create lasting positive impact for society in the areas of arts and culture, education, health and sports, and social welfare.
The Stavros S. Niarchos Foundation for Charity (also known as Stavros Niarchos Foundation or SNF) is incorporated in Bermuda to operate as a nonprofit organization for charitable purposes and has offices in New York, Monaco, and Athens. SNF was endowed exclusively through a bequest from its founder, Stavros S. Niarchos, does not solicit or accept donations from individuals, corporations, or other organizations and does not engage in any commercial activity. SNF is audited by Deloitte and complies with all applicable laws and regulations in all relevant jurisdictions. SNF, in collaboration with its auditors, Deloitte, periodically performs sample grantee audits in relation to the financial and overall management of SNF’s grants.
