University of Montreal

The grant establishes an endowment for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship, which will give Greek graduate students the opportunity to pursue their studies at the University of Montreal and contribute to building the foundation for future collaboration between Canada and Greece. The Scholarship was established to mark the celebration of a 70-year partnership between Canada and Greece. The University of Montreal was founded in 1878. Including its two affiliated schools, the École Polytechnique and the HEC Montreal, it is the largest university in Quebec and the second largest in Canada.
