Religion, Science, and the Environment

This grant supports the Amazon, Source of Life symposium in July 2006, which will bring together representatives of religious and scientific communities to explore the links between a healthy Amazon Basin and the prosperity of the Brazilian people, as well as the ecological health of the planet as a whole; the goals of the symposium are to increase awareness of the importance of the Amazon, to improve access to information, and to promote existing efforts to protect the Amazon basin.
