The grant supports the professional development necessary and the expansion of in-school programs for special populations, including students who are visually impaired or face cognitive and physical challenges. Founded in 1976 by Jacques d’Amboise, the National Dance Institute uses dance as a catalyst to engage children. Their model proves that the arts have a unique power to engage all children—regardless of background, ability or socioeconomic status—and motivate them towards excellence.
