The grant supported the establishment of Mathesis, a Center for Open Online Courses, as well as its operation. The Crete University Press (CUP) was established in 1984. Its aims and objectives are the following: a) scholarly and scientific publications of international academic standards, b) the promotion of scholarly research in the domain of Arts and Humanities with an emphasis on subjects of Greek interest, through publications, and c) the dissemination of scientific ideas and culture to a wider reading audience.
