A summer lineup brimming with joy, all for free at Lincoln Center
From K-pop to hip-hop, from Mozart’s “monumental” Mass in C minor to mariachi by the genre’s first LGBTQIA+ group, and from a performance of Sondheim’s Company in American Sign Language by Deaf actors to a mass wedding including hundreds of couples, Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City has something for everyone. All are welcome at New York’s largest free arts festival, taking place on the Manhattan cultural institution’s campus, which has been transformed with botanical-inspired designs.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) is proud to provide lead support for Summer for the City community programming. Major SNF grants to long-term partner Lincoln Center have aimed to reimagine how urban public space can better serve an inclusive public, such as the SNF-LC Agora Initiative, which has helped support free performances and activities enjoyed by tens of thousands of people from all walks of life and formed an ongoing transatlantic link with the SNFCC in Athens.
