On the occasion of the New Year, the NGO Regeneration & Progress hosted a celebratory event commemorating five years of the Mobile Medical Units program with representatives of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) in attendance.

The Mobile Medical Units (MMU) program was created at the initiative of and with the exclusive support of the SNF. It is implemented by the NGO Regeneration & Progress, in collaboration with Health Units SA, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The program provides free medical care to residents of remote areas and islands in Greece. Health & Sports is one of four major pillars of work at SNF, and the Foundation also supports the NGO Regeneration & Progress in the design and implementation of the “Sport Paths” initiative, which aims to promote sports education, as well as the “Sports Excellence” program, which empowers athletes through the provision of specialized services.
