The International Foundation For Greece Honors the Stavros Niarchos Foundation

On September 16, 2013, The International Foundation for Greece (IFG) honored the Stavros Niarchos Foundation by presenting it with an IFG Award in the area of philanthropy, recognizing the Foundation’s efforts and contributions towards providing support in Greece during the socioeconomic crisis.

The International Foundation for Greece’s mission is to create an international platform and a network for organizations and individuals to provide support to Greece at this trying period. Hellenic Post supported the IFG Awards by issuing a commemorative set of six stamps, Distinguished Greek Personalities, featuring the organizations and individuals honored by the IFG. One of the six stamps is dedicated to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
