On December 1, Christmas came to life at the SNFCC, in a celebration that kicked off with the illumination of the plane trees along the Canal and the fir trees in the Agora, and continued with Christmas music and carols by ONIRAMA and El Sistema Greece, and a show from the Dancing Fountains.
December's festive program included light installations at the Stavros Niarchos Park, the ice rink at the Canal, thematic performances and events, loads of music, and surprises!
As always, the SNFCC put a memorable show together for New Year’s Eve, featuring fireworks, best-of melodies by the Greek National Opera (GNO) and the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra, dancing, lights, and stories hosted by actress Nandia Kontogeorgi. A few minutes before the turn of the year, SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos and SNFCC Managing Director Elly Andriopoulou shared their wishes for the new year.
The cancelation of the SNF RUN: 2022 FIRST RUN from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), organized in collaboration with the nonprofit Regeneration & Progress, did not stop the runners who had registered from supporting children in need. Runners’ donations totaling €4.345 will be donated to support the work of the organizations “Iliaxtida” Parents, Guardians & Friends Association of People with Autism and Jump Ball of Love. SNF has tripled this donation for a final grant of €13.035 that will be given to the two organizations.
The SNFCC New Year’s Eve show was broadcast live on ERT2 TV Channel, and on the SNFCC and SNF websites and social media channels. You can watch the full show here.
The SNFCC Christmas World comes alive through an exclusive grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). All activities and events offer either free admission or affordable tickets.
