On December 9, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York hosted a broadcast of the illumination of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNFCC) Christmas World in Athens.
People of all ages enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies while watching festive musical performances and enchanting light displays across Stavros Niarchos Park and the SNFCC on the huge screens in the lobby of Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall, which is kept open and free as a “living room” for New Yorkers and visitors.
The broadcast, now an annual tradition, is part of the SNF-LC Agora Initiative, which opened a bridge of cultural and artistic exchange between Athens and New York as part of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s (SNF) broader efforts to reimagine more inclusive public spaces in collaboration with Lincoln Center.
