President Biden and Bill Murray Take Part in Theater of War Poetry Reading
Jan 26, 2021
Live readings of “Those Winter Sundays” by Bill Murray and Queen’s Gambit actor Moses Ingram, as well as a recorded reading by U.S. President Joe Biden, will spark conversation at Theater of War Productions’ latest event.
The 1960s poem by Robert Hayden will serve as the point of departure for a guided discussion on economic hardship, domestic violence, racism, and American identity in a virtual event free and open to the public on Wednesday, January 27.
Theater of War uses readings of texts—from contemporary poetry to plays written thousands of years ago—as the jumping-off point for open discussions on difficult topics, from racial injustice to aging. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) has supported Theater of War since its establishment in 2009, including for a free ten-week run of Antigone in Ferguson in Brooklyn.
