Fall means trading Cycladic getaways for the Cycladic Kids Festival

Sep 04, 2024

School may be starting soon, but that doesn’t mean playtime should be over—and it need not! The Museum of Cycladic Art will hold the second Cycladic Kids Festival for children of all ages on September 21 and 22 at the Athens Conservatoire and the Lyceum, the archaeological site of Aristotle’s school.

Kids will be able to enjoy theater, music and dance performances, films, puppet shows, book readings, and visual arts workshops, all free to attend. Moreover, the Athens Conservatoire will host an exhibition with the works and winners of this year’s Kids’ Art Contest hosted by the Museum of Cycladic Art. This 11th edition of the competition, whose theme was “Today’s Stories on Ancient Vases,” drew 12,000 entries.

The festival is held in collaboration with the Culture, Sports, and Youth Organization of the City of Athens and the Ephorate of Antiquities of the City of Athens, with the support of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. We have the pleasure of being among the event’s lead supporters.
