Andreas Dracopoulos visits Hellenic Police Shooting Training Center in Markopoulo

On Wednesday, August 31, Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos visited the Hellenic Police Shooting Training Center in Markopoulo, Attica, whose facilities were upgraded through a grant from SNF before the pandemic. The visit was also attended by the Minister of Civil Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, and the Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Skoumas.

Through SNF’s support, the facilities in Markopoulo were upgraded to include modern open shooting ranges and a state-of-the-art practice and training area for police and other security forces.

The upgraded facilities were inaugurated in August 2019, part of SNF’s wider efforts to help ensure public safety.
