Andreas Dracopoulos honored for support toward young scholars in New York

Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos was recently honored by SEO—originally Sponsors for Educational Opportunity—for SNF’s support of the organization’s Scholars program. SEO Scholars is an eight-year program that helps guide public high school students to college and on through graduation with mentorship, tutoring, and extracurricular academic work.

“At the heart of it all is making sure that young people, at the end of the day, get the opportunity to feel empowered—to be the masters of their fate and the captains of their souls, to paraphrase a famous poem,”

said Andreas in his remarks at the event at which the award was conferred. SNF has supported the SEO Scholars program since 2016, the same year we welcomed the first of 14—and counting—SEO Scholars as interns in SNF’s Athens office.
