On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, representatives of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) attended a special event at the construction site of the Holocaust Museum of Greece in Thessaloniki held for an official visit by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
During the event, the Museum's architect presented the project and the progress on construction so far, while the two heads of state planted two symbolic trees on the site.
SNF, the Hellenic Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany are the Museum’s three founding donors.
