Internationally acclaimed Greek director, choreographer, visual artist, performer, and scenic, costume, and lighting designer Dimitris Papaioannou, who captivates audiences at the world’s biggest festivals and theaters, is the focus of a three-day conference at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall from January 11 to 13, 2023.
The conference, entitled Approaching the Opus of Dimitris Papaioannou: From the Intimate to the Universal, will examine Papaioannou’s multilayered work from various viewpoints and perspectives. The conference will feature a number of speakers from various fields including performing arts, music, and art history.
The conference is organized by the Genesis: Genetic Research and Digital Visualization in the Performing Arts Research Project, the L. Voudouri Music Library of Greece at The Friends of Music Society, and the Megaron Athens Concert Hall.
The event is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), among others.
