The finalists include a marine conservationist in Sri Lanka, the co-founder of GivingTuesday in the United States, and a leader linking conservation to public health in Uganda. The Prize and leadership initiatives at the Tällberg Foundation are supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
“SNF is proud to partner with Tällberg in honoring remarkable individuals around the world who are leading the way in making the change we need,” said SNF Co-President Andreas Dracopoulos. “The Prize builds on a deep-running optimism that we, collectively, have the power to tackle the welter of challenges humanity faces today. We are particularly excited about the new initiative to lift up emerging leaders who are simultaneously unlocking their own potential and that of others.”
Anyone can make an online nomination for the Prize, and finalists are selected by a jury of fellow leaders from around the world. Two Prize winners and two additional Emerging Leaders winners will be announced in November.
