SNF Agora launches debate series in partnership with Open to Debate

Jan 16, 2025

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University is partnering with Open to Debate, a longtime nonpartisan organizer of public debates, to host a series of eight live debates on a range of critical issues over two years.

First in the series will be a debate held on January 29 on The Future of the Supreme Court featuring United States Ambassador to Turkey Jeff Flake, Columbia law professor Jamal Greene, Yale law professor Cristina Rodriguez, and former United States Attorney General and Senator Jeff Sessions. The debate will be open to the public for in-person attendance and a recording will be available online afterward.

The SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University brings together experts from political science, psychology, philosophy, and other disciplines to foster open and inclusive discourse by engaging a wide public.
