With the launch of its new Greek National Opera for All initiative, the Greek National Opera (GNO) just made opera even more accessible. As part of a vision shared with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) for artistic outreach to new audiences, the GNO will offer 10,000 free seats to performances at its home in Stavros Niarchos Hall.
The initiative is implemented with support from SNF as part of a new two-year grant to help the GNO reach more people than ever with exceptional lyrical art and ballet, especially those who may not yet have had a chance to enjoy them. The free tickets will be offered to young people ages 17 to 22, people over 65, large families, and people who are unemployed. They include performances in all seating areas of Stavros Niarchos Hall for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 artistic seasons.
