New-fangled technology and a good old-fashioned love for books now meet under one roof in the Greek Municipality of Preveza, thanks to the Municipal Library’s Kids and Teens Department’s new home in a fully renovated historic building.
Books—and lots of them—along with computers with free internet access for children and teenagers, a 3D printer for creative projects, and audiovisual equipment to screen films and book presentations are just some of the resources the new space offers for children and teenagers from the wider area. The building, which for decades was used as an educational and training space, has been renovated and equipped with all modern facilities so that it can meet not only the current but also the future library needs of children and adolescents.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) supported the development of the library with a grant for technological and digital equipment for the Kids and Teens Department.
