From September 26 to 28 at 260 Peiraios Street in Athens, the three-day forum delved into crucial topics including press freedom, artificial intelligence, data journalism, reporting on the climate crisis, corruption, war, and innovative sustainability models to promote media independence through a series of talks, workshops, and projections.
The iMEdD International Journalism Forum is designed for journalists, media experts, academics, and students from around the globe. For the first time this year, it was hosting Europe's largest cross-border investigative journalism event, the 2024 UNCOVERED Conference, which included a series of important discussions on September 25 and 26 and the ceremony at which the IJ4EU Impact Award was conferred.
iMEdD is a nonprofit that seeks to enhance transparency, credibility, and independence in journalism, founded in 2018 with exclusive support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).
