Thessaloniki International Film Festival

Renovation

For the creation of a Cinema Library/Archive to be housed in the premises of the Thessaloniki Cinema Museum. The Library will become part of the museum’s visit and activities and it will offer visitors the opportunity to research the archive and attend film screenings.

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival is the most important film festival in South East Europe, a platform for the presentation of Greek film productions, as well as the primary and oldest festival in the Balkans for the creations of new cinematographers. The Cinema Museum, operating under the auspices of the Festival, is housed at Pier 1 in the port of Thessaloniki. It holds a collection of cinematography books and journals, and runs art seminars/workshops for adults, and educational programs about the history of cinematography.
